CHS Environmental Action Club to Audit CHS Recycling

Students in the CHS Environmental Action Club have planned a study of the current recycling situation at their school. They will begin this month by interviewing custodians, teachers, cafeteria managers, staff in the athletic and performing arts departments, and students to find out the who, what, where and when of recycling now at CHS.  Early next semester, the students will compile the data, and then under the guidance of Principal Williams and the CCS Green team, create realistic recycling goals and a procedure to achieve them.  The goal is to create a plan that will increase recycling substantially and remain in place and in practice for years to come.

Green Clubs

Getting students engaged in green practices is the key to a healthy future for our community. Green Clubs in our schools are a terrific forum for students to learn how to care for the earth and to put that knowledge into practice. See below for what student green clubs in our district are doing so far this school year!
